So, when I bought my MacBook Pro at the end of August and it came on September 1, I figured it would be a good idea to invest in a couple of things that would help me take care of it, like a sleeve case and a keyboard shield.
The Cappuccino sleeve case I bought was the gray one. It's one that's made to protect my MBP from any shock impact that would result from it being dropped while in the case, or impact from being carried around with my books in my backpack - which is the more likely of the two. So far (since it's November now and I've had the case for about two months) it has done its job well and faithfully, and I love the way it looks - I've only had one or two rare problems with the zipper, but that's really a minor concern since, as I said, that issue is rare (I specifically remember one time I was zipping it up and it came apart, but it was an easy fix - I remember it happening but I don't remember exactly what I did to fix it, it was so easy). Out of five, I would give my Cappuccino sleeve case a 4.5 - it's not 100% perfectly constructed as far as the zipper goes, but I feel like that's an issue that could be had with anything that has a zipper, not just this sleeve case. 4.5/5
The Keyboard Shield isn't bad either, but I simply haven't used it as much as I intended when I first got it. My one issue with it that led me to not using it was the fact that it's not as seamless of a fit on my MacBook Pro as I expected, especially around the touchpad. It's not a major enough thing for me to have wanted to return it, since it'll be good for occasional use, but if you're a stickler for appearance like I am, it might annoy you that it's not a seamless fit...and it also doesn't completely stay in one place. Sorry, Rasfox, but I can't rate the Keyboard Shield as highly. 3/5
As far as overall service goes, Rasfox was great about sending emails regarding my order - I got shipping updates and my order arrived in a timely manner, which is always a positive thing. I have absolutely no complaints about the service and if I ever need another sleeve case or something I will definitely consider ordering from them again.
By the way, I hope that offer for people who review their purchases still stands, even two months later. To purchase the Cappuccino sleeve or the Keyboard Shield (or to see what other products they sell), visit http://www.rasfox.com/.

Overcoming Obstacles
I finally overcame my "Anything-But-Poetry" block yesterday afternoon and wrote a 425-word prose piece based on my own experiences from high school band. It's titled The Longest Minute and anyone who was ever in a marching band (high school or college) knows that the last minute on the game clock before Halftime is always THE longest minute ever - and only partly because the clock can stop at any minute. It's also long because whether you're looking forward to the performance or dreading it, it can't get there fast enough.
I just printed it out so I can turn it in during class today - there are no classes tomorrow because of Fall Break, which I would be more excited about if I thought I'd get the rest of my financial aid money today. It's been disbursed to the business office, but when I checked at noon, the business office had yet to issue the refund check, so...I wish there was a way they could direct deposit it into my bank account or something, because I need that money.

hello, world
So, Mrs. Garner said we should all start blogs, and I felt like a fresh new blogspot blog would do the trick (even if I already have LiveJournal, Twitter, and Dreamwidth among others).
Goal? It's recommended to post no fewer than once every six weeks (by le professeur herself), so that would make me pretty happy - but I'd like to post more if I can find the time, etc.
I'll try to post more later this evening or at least again before Monday (hahaha), since the UNA vs. Valdosta State game is gonna be on TV tonight (CSS at 7:00 p.m. Alabama time, in case you were wondering) and I'm tailgating this afternoon since this is a home game.
